Clean Lines in Stainless Steel
Opened to the public on 31st March 2009, the new SPT station at Partick in Glasgow owes a vast amount of its style and clean lines to Linea. Throughout the completely refurbished elevator areas, concourse and underpass, we designed, manufactured and constructed a customised stainless steel wall cladding system.
The concept is based on a framing structure housing the individual steel panels, designed so each panel can be efficiently removed for access at any time, or to allow easy replacement should a panel become damaged.
Equally important was a high standard of appearance. It called for precision fitting, excellence in finishing detail and proven durability. With the resources to demonstrate all these qualities in a full scale prototype at the tendering stage, Linea was awarded the contract - completed in February 2009.
